1974 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer
$6,950.00
Very rare and unique vintage Honda CB750 Cafe Racer. Lots of time, money and care went into the design and build of this custom motorcycle. Too many details to list. Please look at the may pictures and watch the video and you will have a better idea of what has gone into this unique attention grabbing bike. The owner passed away so some details are unkonwn. We do not know how many miles are on it due to the gauges being replaced. About 1k miles back the engine was completly rebuilt. It was then stored so the famous William Lowder rebuilt and fine tuned the carburetors right here at Sams Cycle Service Inc. William has rebuilt thousands of carburetors here full time since 1989. This bike idles and accelerates very smooth. While idling it shifts into neutral with ease. The performance is great. The tires look good. The inside of the tank was professionally sealed. It has a new petcock, battery, chain and sprockets and all fluids have been changed.
Please notice the many little bolt on accents and attention to details. I love the checkered paint scheme. From the Z bars to the red rims, from the large diamter head pipes to the upgraded Dynotek ignition system this is a fun bike and a great conversation piece. As the owner of Sams Cycle Service Inc. I have been hands on full time here in this same location for over 43 years. I have serviced many and owned many of these iconic in line 4 cylinder Honda CB750's. As an old fart now I am still the go to guy here in the desert when it comes to vintage Honda's. I dont say this often about motorcycles that are over a half a century old but I believe that this is a reliable daily commuter as well as a collector bike that will continue to go up in value if taken care of. It was manufactured 06/1972 which makes it a 1973 year model.
I find no oil leaks or leaks of any kind. The engine sounds solid, no exhaust smoke at all (see the video) and all the lights work.
If you have been wanting a unique and rare collector bike that will go up in value rather than depreciate then this might be for you.
