After watching the video please don't miss the pictures at the bottom including a picture of the title.
This is a nice one owner survivor that has been stored in the desert so no real rust issues.
Please look close at the many pictures. Other than the paint, this is all original including the seat cover and tool kit! The only real complaint would be the dent on the gas tank as shown.
With a flash light the inside of the tank looks good with only some minor surface rust.
The stock exhaust is not perfect but looks pretty good with some scratches and a tiny ding on the left side. No rust or holes in the exhaust system. Looking inside with a flashlight the main body of the internal mufflers are in good shape but the very end baffles are missing. With the main part of the internal baffles in good shape the exhaust It is not loud at all.
I do not find any oil leaks but a bike with gaskets this age will probable eventually show something leaking.
In July 2020 we revived it from storage and did the following service:
Rebuilt the carburetor using new gaskets. Replaced the carburetor mounting o-rings.
Cleaned out the petcock. Inspected the inside of the fuel tank and flushed it out.
Filled with non ethanol clean fuel. Replaced the fuel hose and installed a fuel filter.
Changed the oil using full synthetic. Changed the spark plug and battery.
Cleaned and adjusted the ignition points. Adjusted the valves to .004 both.
Lubed and adjusted the chain and cables.
Checked the lights and horn. Test rode on our short street here and got it up over 55 mph with more to spare.
It was stored indoors here in the Palm Springs California desert area for many years.
I acquired this from the original owner. The clear New Jersey title is shown in the last picture.
It comes with the original tool kit. The horn, headlight and tail light work as intended.
This would be great for riding around town or restore it to mint condition.
